Questions we get a lot.

How much does a coffee van cost for an event?

There is no set price, because no two events are the same. Sogo Mobile events start at $500, and most land between $950 and $1,250. We price per drink at a discounted bulk rate, then factor in the travel miles, the hours on site, and how many baristas your guest count needs. Tell us about your event and we will send a quote.

How far do you travel? Do you come to Denver, Boulder or Fort Collins?

Sogo Mobile travels anywhere in Colorado. We are based in Golden and regularly head out to Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Summit County. Travel within 15 miles of our Golden shop is included in the price, and beyond that we add a travel charge based on the distance.

How many people can you serve?

Sogo Mobile serves events from 25 to 250 guests. A barista pours around 40 drinks an hour, and we bring extra staff when the guest count calls for it, so your guests are not standing in a line instead of enjoying the event.

How far in advance should we book the coffee van?

Two weeks ahead is ideal, and busy Saturdays around Golden and Denver get claimed first. Sogo Mobile can often take an event on shorter notice, down to five days out, with a rush fee. We ask for 72 hours notice on cancellations.

Are you licensed and insured? Can you provide a certificate of insurance?

Yes. Sogo Mobile is licensed and insured, and we can provide a certificate of insurance for your venue, office or campus. Tell us who it needs to be sent to and we will take care of it, which is usually the last box a venue in Denver or Golden needs ticked before the day.

What does the van need at the venue? Do you need power or water?

Just a spot to set up. Sogo Mobile is completely self-sufficient: we bring our own people, our own power and our own water. There is nothing for you to plug us into and no hookups to arrange with your venue.

Who pays for the drinks, the host or the guests?

Either, depending on the event. For catered events the host pays, at a discounted bulk rate per drink, and guests simply walk up and order. For open events like a farmers market or a festival, guests can pay at the van through our card reader.

What drinks can guests order?

Anything Sogo makes. You build the menu: just the classics, the classics plus a couple of our specialty drinks, or the full Sogo menu. Espresso comes off a real machine, with the same homemade syrups and premium beans we use at the shop in Golden, plus matcha, chai and hot chocolate.

Do you have oat milk and other dairy-free options?

Yes. Sogo Mobile carries oat milk and almond milk at every event, so guests who avoid dairy can order the same drinks as everyone else.

What happens if it rains or we have to cancel?

If something outside your control forces a cancellation, your deposit is refunded. The only exception is anything we have already prepared specifically for your event, such as canned nitro or a special order, which is deducted from the deposit.

What is included in the price?

Everything. Once the price is agreed, that is the price: the van, the baristas, the setup, the cleanup, the cups and the drinks. Sogo Mobile does not add fees after the fact.

Can the coffee van come indoors?

Yes, as long as we can drive in. Sogo Mobile is built into an imported Honda kei van, which is small enough for many garages, loading docks and event halls. Send us the entrance measurements and we will tell you straight away whether we fit.

Can you brand the coffee for our company or wedding?

Yes. Sogo Mobile can brand the cups with your logo and create a signature drink named for your company, your chapter or the couple. It is a favourite at weddings and corporate events around Denver and Golden.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit is 50% of the agreed price, and it holds your date on the Sogo Mobile calendar.

Do you serve food at events?

Not at events. Sogo Mobile is drinks only. Our shop in Golden bakes homemade breads and pastries daily, but they are not part of a van booking.
